Rauraujiは、2011年に靴ブランドとして山梨県甲府市にて誕生しました。
「何事にもらうらうじくおはせし御心ばへなりしかば・・・」
らうらうじという言葉は、源氏物語にでてくる古語で、
巧みであり、上品で美しいという意味です。
靴の美しさ、またそれを履く人の足を美しく魅せる事にこだわり抜いた至高の一足です。
ブランドとして、履き心地の良さとファッション性を兼ね備えた
"本物の良い靴"を提供することが使命であると考え、
日本の靴職人による手作りにこだわりました。
シンプルなデザインであるからこそ靴職人の技が試され、
また、それを履く人が靴職人の巧みな技を履き心地として、
実感できると考えております。
普段、靴と向き合う際に、前や横、上からのシルエットを重要視しますが、『Raurauji』は、後ろからの見た目にもこだわりを見せています。
日本古来の『美』『おくゆかしさ』をコンセプトに、インビジブルデザインを提案します。
The concept of Raurauji [laʊlaʊdʒiː]
Raurauji is a shoes label that was established in Kofu, Yamanashi, in 2011.
"raurauji" is an old word which appears in The Tale of Genji.
It means artful, refined and beautiful.
Raurauji products are identified by their beauty and our shoe adoration to make their users' legs look as beautiful as possible.
The mission of raurauji is its "genuine and authentic gem" which unites the concept of stylishness and comfort. They are all handmade by Japanese skilled craftsmen.
When designs are simple, the skill of the craftsman reveals itself. When you wear the shoes, you will feel the elaborate artifice that is put into the product.
When you look at your shoes in mirror, you probably see yourself from the front, the sides or from above. Raurauji is different. You have to look at yourself from the back. With raurauji, you look gorgeous even from the back.
We propose the invisible designs that conceptualize Japanese traditional and reserved beauty.
